No published human pharmacokinetics.

In short

  • A synthetic tripeptide (Glu-Asp-Arg) from the Russian peptide bioregulator programme.
  • Proposed to act on gene expression directly, which is an unusual mechanistic claim for a tripeptide.
  • Preclinical work reports neuroprotection against hypoxia and oxidative stress.
  • No human clinical trial has been published, and essentially all research comes from one group.
  • Research compound only.

Structure

How it works

Pinealon is a short synthetic tripeptide. The mechanistic claim from the originating group is that peptides of this size can enter cells and nuclei and interact directly with DNA to modulate gene expression — the "peptide bioregulator" hypothesis underpinning the whole programme.

That proposed mechanism is not generally accepted, and independent confirmation that short peptides regulate transcription this way is lacking.

Reported effects are neuroprotective: reduced oxidative damage and improved neuronal survival under hypoxia in animal models.

What the research shows

Rodent and cell-culture studies from the originating programme report protection against hypoxic and oxidative injury and effects on cognitive performance in aged animals.

No human clinical trial has been published.

Human reports are anecdotal.

Dosing in the literature

Figures below are quoted from published studies, with the species or population they were measured in. They are records of what was studied, not recommendations.

Commonly reported ranges

These are amounts people report using. They are not from any study, have not been evaluated for safety, and are reproduced here only because they circulate widely and are better seen alongside the evidence than instead of it.

No published human pharmacokinetic study establishes a dose, interval, or duration for this compound. Community figures below have no trial behind them and are reports of practice, not evidence. This compound comes from the Russian peptide bioregulator programme, where essentially the entire evidence base originates from the group that developed and promotes these compounds. That concentration is a methodological problem independent of whether the findings are correct — independent replication is what distinguishes a result from a claim, and it has not happened.

Handling and storage

Supplied as a lyophilised powder requiring reconstitution with bacteriostatic water. The powder is comparatively stable; once reconstituted it is refrigerated and used within weeks. Track the date you reconstitute each vial — the Inventory section does this, and it is the difference between knowing a vial is three weeks old and guessing.

Subcutaneous injection or intranasal use in intermittent courses is the community pattern, mirroring the course-based approach described in the Russian literature.

Side effects

No human safety data exists.

Preclinical work has not reported significant toxicity, though the studies were not designed as toxicology.

Community reports are sparse, reflecting low usage rather than established safety.

Combinations

No interaction data. Commonly combined with other bioregulator peptides in community protocols, which compounds an absence of evidence rather than addressing it.

Research status

This compound comes from the Russian peptide bioregulator programme, where essentially the entire evidence base originates from the group that developed and promotes these compounds. That concentration is a methodological problem independent of whether the findings are correct — independent replication is what distinguishes a result from a claim, and it has not happened.

Legal status

Not approved in the US, EU, or UK. Some peptide bioregulators are registered in Russia as supplements or medicines. Sold for research use only in Western markets.

WADA status

Not specifically named on the Prohibited List. Falls under WADA class S0, which prohibits any pharmacological substance not currently approved by any governmental regulatory health authority for human therapeutic use. Treat it as prohibited in sport.

Conclusion

Pinealon rests on a mechanistic claim — short peptides directly regulating gene expression — that is not generally accepted, supported by research from a single group.

That is a thin foundation, and the absence of independent replication after decades is the most informative part of its file.
